WHAT ARE THE TASKS TO BE DONE?

To complete this course, the following tasks need to be done.  Some team members may limit themselves to one specialization only.  Others may want to multi-task (preferably).

COURSE OWNERS — For now, we will assume that this is Mon Samson and Nery Gool.  They are our “clients”.  They will approve our learning objectives, and ultimately our output.

SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTS — for now, we will rely on Mon Samson and Nery Gool to do this or to delegate this to someone else.  They will be our resource persons to clarify the existing teaching materials.  

INSTRUCTIONAL WRITERS — they will write all the scripts, the drills, the quizzes and so on.  They should be guided purely by the learning objectives, and their responsibility is to design the course so that those objectives are met.  Assignments will be given per learning objectives, rather than per topic.  They can then decide what topics are covered by their learning objectives.  They can work independently or as partners, depending on the size of the objective.  They will consult the subject matter experts about the accuracy of the content.  They will also conceptualize the graphic treatments of their modules, and give design instructions to the Graphics Team, and do final quality check.

GRAPHICS TEAM — will be composed of the following:

POWERPOINT SPECIALISTS — they will be the ones to assemble all the materials into powerpoint slides: including the script/notes, the animations, and the graphics.  All final modifications / corrections will be done by them.

PHOTOGRAPHER — they will shoot the images that need to be placed in the powerpoint slides.

CHARACTER MODELS — they will be the subjects of the photo shoot.

DIGITAL GRAPHICS EDITORS — they will select, modify and assemble all the graphic materials for the courses.  These will include the photographs taken by the team, or searching for other stock photos and clipart materials.

MUSIC EDITORS — they will select, assemble and edit the appropriate background music and loops

SOUNDS TEAM — will be composed of the following:

NARRATORS — they will be the ones who will do the voice narrations that will accompany the presentations.

MUSIC EDITORS — they will select, assemble, edit all the sound components of the course, including background music and loops.

SECRETARIAT — this person(s) will be our link to one another and to the Lingkod office, and will facilitate the administrative and logistic requirements, making sure we have materials, meeting venues, yahoo groups, team directory, and so on.

TEAM LEADER — I’ll be this one, for now.  But, hey, if we do a great job with this one, then there will definitely be other courses to be done in the future, and each of you can head the next team(s)! 

Brothers and sisters, the truth is many (most) of these tasks can be performed by the same person.  However, let’s spread the joy of service to others.  I’m sure there’s a lot of talent out there.  Let’s find them, empower them and welcome them to the Team!
