STORYBOARD IDEAS

Please post your comments, suggestions and concerns regarding the STORYBOARD in this blog post.  We had many good ideas flowing last night, but we didn’t decide on anything final yet.  My general sense is that we’re getting the hang of it.  And so, let’s finalize this before we move forward.  I’d like to make sure that we have that pinned down before the end of next week. 

What we’re looking for is a metaphor that will weave through all the modules, and that will convey a sense of accomplishment and progress, and a sense of anticipation for completion.  Some guidelines:

• I encourage a fun and engaging metaphor, but let’s try to stay within appropriate formats and norms. 
  • For instance, we could use biblically-familiar metaphors (shepherd leading his flock, journey to the holy of holies, crossing the lake, etc.) 
• We can modernize the context, if we wish. 
• Let’s be aware, though, that this will be used by a global audience of Lingkod branches outside of Metro Manila, and outside the Philippines.  Therefore, make sure that our chosen metaphor doesn’t alienate them.
• Let’s keep it engaging but simple so that it’s not going to be too taxing on the graphic designers and the programmers. 
  • Remember, we will have photos of models posing as AGLs, AG members, etc. 
• Let’s also remember that this course will be used for several years, so let’s not do something that is too hip now, but will look baduy next year.

Let’s tap into the mind and heart of the Great and Holy One, and pray and fast.  “We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.”  Amen?
